Teen Conservatory: Shakespeare in Motion
Step into the world of bold physical storytelling with Synetic Theater’s Teen Conservatory, an immersive three-week summer intensive for dedicated teen artists ready to push their craft to the next level.
This conservatory-style program dives deep into Synetic’s iconic approach to theater—where movement, ensemble, and emotion lead the story. Students train daily with professional Synetic teaching artists, developing advanced skills in physical acting, stage movement, ensemble work, and nonverbal storytelling. Classical text meets dynamic physicality as teens explore how Shakespeare’s greatest scenes can be told through the body as powerfully as through words.
The program culminates in a Shakespeare Revue, featuring Synetic’s most iconic scenes and moments—imagined through movement, theatricality, and bold visual storytelling. This final performance gives students the rare opportunity to perform repertory inspired by Synetic’s celebrated productions and share their work with a live audience.
Why teens choose Synetic’s Conservatory:
- Train like a professional. Experience an intensive, process-driven rehearsal environment modeled after a working theater company.
- Move beyond traditional Shakespeare. Discover how classical stories come alive through physical theater, rhythm, and ensemble.
- Build confidence and discipline. Strengthen presence, precision, collaboration, and creative risk-taking.
- Be part of something iconic. Perform Synetic-inspired Shakespeare scenes in a fully realized revue.
Designed for teens with a passion for performance, this conservatory challenges students to take creative risks, deepen their artistry, and discover what they are capable of—on stage and beyond.
This summer, train boldly. Move fearlessly. Perform Shakespeare the Synetic way.
